When I found out you had "left" us I was in total shock. I know it had been a while since you and I had spoken and that made me feel even worse. Look at this message. I am writing it as if you are actually going to read it. I am actually crying as I am typing this. You and I had many good years together working at NCCJ and we had many fun times hanginig out (movies, dinner, easter at my house). I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. And how could i forget, you were the "computer king" in my eyes. No matter how stupid my question was you never laughed (okay maybe you did once or twice). I know how much you missed Kastoria and how you spoke of your homeland with such pride. Now you are finally "home" - I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!
Although my wife, Ralia, was closer to you than I, I still considered you a friend. I was saddened to hear of your passing--you left too early. I'll remember our "deep conversations" on almost every issue and I enjoyed hearing your opinions. Peace, brother.
This is so shocking and very sad to hear. Kosta and I worked closely on several projects, traveled and hung out after NCCJ on Park Avenue South. He was a very interesting person on so many subjects other than IT and so patient. I have fond memories of those times. I will say special prayers for him and his family during this painful and difficult time. \
I know we each share a profound sadness upon hearing this unimaginable news about Kosta. It makes me want to do better about keeping in touch with you all. We did share a unique time in our lives while with NCCJ. That is how I will remember Kosta and his many kindnesses.
Hearing about Kosta truly is sad news. I was just thinking about him last night and the reason was my brother-in-law called me and was telling me how his wife who isn't really computer savvy would push a button in a minute had did something and had the tool bar half way up the page. I then remembered many a day that I did that and had to call Kosta to help me, and he never said no. I will keep him and his family in my prayers
Kosta, How can it be real- so fast- I can hardly believe it – no preparation for such loss
Intellect and humor,- That’s what God Blessed you with and this equaled= great “Parea.”-company. We all were blessed to have had great discussions on any subject based on your vast intellect and constant reading sprinkled with your humor.
Devotion and loyalty= Great godfather. God Blessed Ariadne to have you as her godfather. You never missed a birthday and showed her you loved her and Phaedra very much. Thank you for accepting the role of godfather and more than exceeding our expectations. Thank you for your presence in their lives.
Thank you also for the positive kind words you said to me over the years that I have not and will not forget. Aionia h mnimi aionia h mnimi aioni h mnimi- May your memory be eternal. We will not forget you. With Love Demetra
I have known Kosta almost since he stepped foot in New York. We worked together at Pace's Academic Computing Laboratory for almost two years while studing. But most improtantantly, during these times we became very close friends. I was honored and privilledged to know Kosta so well and be his friend.
I have still not come to terms with he premature departure. I am still thinking that he is going to call me to go have our afternoon coffee at our favorite "Athens Cafe".
I miss talking to Kosta because he was a very honest and sincire person and a true friend.
In his memory I have tried to uncover all pictures that I could find from our times together throughout the years and share these moments with our common friends and his family.
Kosta you left us much too soon. I was proud to call you my friend, and always enjoyed talking to you. You were so well read, and seemed to be able to talk intellegently about so many topics. I enjoyed hanging out with you at the convention in myrdle Beach, I never would of imagined that would of been the last time I saw you. You had such a sarcastic sense of humor too, you made me laugh. You were truly a special person that I know will be missed by many. Demetra
As roomates, during college, I remember opening the door to his room to find him eternally attached to his computer screen. Last time I saw him was in 2003. Always lovely, funny, so polite and undestanding. Lovely. It's so sad.
I do not know what to say I am speechless, I still cannot believe that I have lost my best friend, just like that. I feel angry and upset with myself that I could not do anything to save my friend and I am more upset with everything else. Kostas was the one person you can always count on and now he is gone and we are left alone.
I met Kostas for the first time in winter of 1990, at Pace through our common friend, partner and Koumbaro Panos. Panos, and I met at the cafeteria of Pace University and when he found out that I was from Kastoria he said “kai esu apo tin Kastoria” and next he said do you know Kostas? He works at the Computer Lab so we went to the Lab and that was my first time that I met Kostas. From that moment, we became friends and we were there for each other. Panos, do you remember he used to take our cigarettes and put them on his locker at the University
We had many great times and moments with Kosta as we were growing up you might say that we were like the Three Musketeers Kostas, Panos, and me. Nothing was stopping us from enjoying life and being there for each other to support and give advice. As Panos said, Athens Café was our favorite place we will call each other and meet at Athens where we spend hours and hours having coffee and talking about many different things. In fact, you may say that Athens Café was our home before home.
Kosta my brother and friend, your absence is noticeable and we will always remember you until one day we meet again and continue where we left off. Take care ……
Your Goddaughter is getting ready to graduate from high school. Wish you could come to her graduation. We added your name to the Pschosabbato list of names to be remembered. I told the girls about what we do to remember loved ones and they wanted to add you to our list. Thinking of you. DST
Kosta, Phaedra will go to VT with Ariadne. I can see your smile and pride. Your photo is in Ariadne's room. We remember you dear friend. Aionia h mnhmh sou

After a few weeks in the hospital Kostal "left" us on 8/23/2009 in Astoria, NY. The last farewell was on 8/28/2009 an Dispilio Kastoria, GREECE. This page is for friends & family to share everything each one has with each other about Kostas.
